just for you sam!

I know I have been slacking and I would not have been feeling bad about it, but my brother Sam told me on Christmas that I needed to get on the ball because he hadn't seen any new blogs for a while. Sam, get a blog, so we can read about your life :)

I think that I am a shame to the photography world. I don't think I took any pictures at Christmas or any on my trip to California! What was I thinking???

Christmas was great. I wasw complete with a Rubber Chicken. Thanks for the laughs mom. The best part was when Sam accidentally( really it was an accident which is why it was so funny) launched the little rubber chiken key chain right up in to mom's face. Good times! Jake has the whole thing on video. He should put the link on here.

I spent a good week working on a scrapbook for my parents. I think that is why I didn't take any pictures, I didn't want to have to scrapbook them. I am burntout on scrapbooking and broke! I did 40+ pages in less than a week, and Christmas Eve I pulled an all nighter. It was worth it though, and everyone enjoyed reading what everyone else had written.

I just got back from California. I went with some friends from church. We went to Arcadia, right by Pasadena. It was my friend Sloan's grandma's house. It was an older house but they had added on a ton and the kitchen was amazing. ( I am kicking myself for not taking a picture, it was my plan the whole time, and I forgot!) It was this bright tourqoise color and very, very modern. They had a kidney bean shaped table built in and they used to have a wall refrigerator. Kind of cool. They neighborhood reminded me of my grandma's. Big trees with tons of flowers and everyone knew everyone. Howard W. Hunter used to live next door to where we were staying. They aren't members but they said they loved "Howie" and that he helped them landscape the backyard.

In the backyard they had a BBQ, pool, hot tub, bar/refrigerator (they stocked it with pop and water for us) and a fire pit. On New Year's Eve we made a nice steak dinner, made smores and got in the hot tub and....the freezing cold pool. Not to good for the body. That shock is no fun, but it was New Year's! We also went to MAgic Mountain 2 days and I realized that I am turning into Mom...My famous line that day was "I will wait right here, call me when you get off." I did finally take some dramamine and was able to go on a couple. My day ended though when I blacked out on Goliath. Too bad becasue there was no line and they drop on the roller coaster was amazing. So my friends kept riding it over, and over, and over. Thinking about it right now, I get sick.

OK, I have typed way too much. I will write again soon!

I agree with Shannon. Are you going to be one of those who won't jump on the tramp after you have kids in case you wet your pants? That's just what it made me think of right now. Maybe I've had too much kid time today! Will we see you soon?
