Ok, so d-day is over. I have been stressing about last night for way too long, and it is over and done with, and it turned out pretty well. I spent the day getting everything together for the activity (fliers, veggie trays, balls, weights, stretchy bands, jump ropes, projectors, computers, and finding Internet for the church)
I started out by telling everyone about the program and the purpose and then had some group leaders talk about what will be going on for the next 6 weeks. Then a guy in my ward showed the calendar that we made. After that, the group (which was quite large...we had 6 groups of 11 plus the people holding up the wall and the stage sitters) divided into groups for a fitness relay. They had to bounce a big ball down to the end and grab whatever workout equipment they could and do 10 reps of something different than someone else on their team had already done. Everyone was laughing and cheering and working hard. A couple people fell, and when I went someone thought it would be funny to throw my ball on top of the chairs, so I had to dribble a b-ball back. I forgot my camera and so did everyone else who normally has a camera. There were some flashes so I know that someone had one.
After the relays, it was free play and eat veggies time. We ended up playing bump out/speed/lightning (the basketball shooting game with two balls) on both ends of the gym and had a long line at each game. It was a long successful night, and it seems like people are excited about the program. But we'll see....
Have you noticed what time this post was written???? I had a walking group scheduled for this morning at 6, so I got up and no one came. Then I had a couple choices to make. Do I go back to bed (YES!!!!!), eat breakfast, do homework (NO!!!!even though I have a test @1:30 that I still have to study for) So I decided to do homework, and as you can see I have procrastinated yet again. But it's what I do best, right?
Wish me luck!

procrastination is in the genes. Mom? Dad?
what's u7? and holy participation, batgirl. that's crazy, in a good way. do you always have that many kids at fhe? or was it everybody, getting lost in your eyes?
U7 stands for University 7th Ward. We have the biggest ward in the stake,so all of our activities are pretty well attended...except my walking group at 6am :( Our ward alone has 7 softball teams. It's crazy
Sounds like it was a good time!
I'll come to walking group next week.
and "Shape The Legs"
What is "shape the legs?" I am intrigued. Is it something I can do while sitting at the computer eating oreos?
