Saturday and Pics

Hi!!!!

It's been forever since I have posted. I just don't ever feel like blogging anymore. Probably has to do with the fact that I sit on my butt in front of a computer for 8 hrs a day. I have developed a permanent know by my right shoulder blade from using the mouse. and I have a stiff neck all of the time. I am trying to like my job...there are just a lot of rules to abide by. I like the work and talking to people and helping them, it is just hard to do that with all the other stipulations.

Last night I went out with about 6 other people from work for dinner. We are all the same age and have all just graduated from college. Most of them moved here for the job. I have never hung out with all non-members before. It it fun, but different all at the same time. I have never felt different than my friends, but it was kind of weird. All they talk about it clubbing and drinking. The guys all had beers and the girls were talking about how they were drunk the night before. It is just foreign to me. But---we had a good time anyway and they make my job more entertaining.

Today I slept in a little before heading to our church B-ball game. For those of you who know me well, you know that I DON'T play B-Ball. This year I signed up because at the the end of every season a lot of the girls stop showing up and those who do show up end up not having any subs. So I figured even if I was horrible at playing I could at lease sub in and give the good players a break. LAst week, I had a hard time adjusting to the game and this week I was a little more comfortable and I actually made TWO, yes TWO, baskets. Dad called after to talk about the game and ask me how I did and he had a hard time believing that I made any. He asked if they were free throws and he was surprised when I said NO!!! Maybe I have some hidden "balla" skillz. I think the more I play the more familiar I will become with the sport.

I have always steers away from sports like that. I don't like people in my space trying to get what I have. Soccer is the same way. I apologize all the time and I don't like getting in someone's face or someone in mine. Today I was trying to pass and a girl just came and took the ball right out of my hands. I was like "ok- you can have it :)" In 7th grade I made th b-ball team and dribbled a couple steps the wrong way and the coaches never put me in again. Since then, I have always had a fear of basketball.

After that, I came home and went on a walk with my roommate Christine and then we went to Jason's Deli for lunch. It is cold and we wanted soup. Then I came home and changed the sheets on my bed and did laundry and took a nap-that I really really needed!

No plans for tonight yet, but I am sure something will come up, there is always something to do 'round here.
